To begin with, I can say that Kyiv(another spelling is "Kiev") is the capital of Ukraine, which is situated in the centre of Europe.

Kyiv's traditions are different as people of different nationalities live here. But most of them are Ukrainians. One of our traditions is to wear embroidered clothes (shirts, blouses).
As for weather, it's hot in summer and not very cold in winter. It's quite warm now. )))
Kyiv is a beautiful city, especially in autumn when it is covered with leaves of different coloures.
I expect my students to post more messages from their home computers tomorrow. It's 11 p.m. in Kyiv now.

This is short interesting information about Kiev)
In Kiev, there are many good universities.
For example University of Taras Shevchenko.
And many foreigners come study to this university.
My most favorite building in Kyiv is Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Because this is very good scenic place.
Especially i love walking on Andriyivsky Uzviz. Because there are many pictures and I love looking at them.)))

Yes some of us do watch wrestling. I love the shopping and malls in Kansas City especially at the Plaza. The Plaza is a big place with shopping, food, and entertainment. Lots of people go at all times of the week. The weekends are the busiest.

@Andrey_Lavrinchuk We like to shuffle to the song "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, do you? Modern dance is pretty popular downtown where an event called First Friday is held. At First Friday there is food,art,entertainment, and dancing!

Paul Rudd is an actor in movies, Jason Sudakus is on Saturday Night Live (tv show) Arron Stonestreet is an actor on a tv show called Modern Family and Christopher Drew Ingle is a musician in a band called Never Shout Never.

@Julia_Vyshnevskaya My favorite holiday is probably Christmas. For Halloween some people get really into it. Everyone dresses up in fun costumes and a lot of people decorate their houses. The most fun though is going to the haunted houses downtown!

David Cook is an American Idol (a famous singing competition with competitors from all over America) winner and he is from a suburb of Kansas City. One of my really good friends has David Cook as his neighbor! Tech N9ne and Eminem are some famous rappers from Kansas City.

@Misha_Vorotilov We do have water sports in Kansas. You can water-ski, go tubing, rowboating, and more! Kansas does not have many lakes to do these activities on, but there are a few and many families have small houses near the lakes and go there for vacation.

@Nastya_Bulavina There is an all boy school that is near our all girl school, and on Friday's there is a football game that a lot of teenagers go to! So that is what some people like to do on the weekend if that helps!

@Julia_Vyshnevskaya Okay, well, some of my favorite things to to in Kansas City is go shopping on the Country Club Plaza! There are so many great stores and restaurants, and it's just a really pretty enviornment! There are so many fountains and you can take carrige rides with real horses through the streets even though there are cars!! I will take pictures so you see what I mean. I don't live very far from it so I go ALL THE TIME. Also, the night of Thanksgiving they have an anual event called the Plaza Lighting where the turn on the Christmas lights on the Plaza!! It's so pretty and so many people come to see it! Hope I answered you question!!

In Kansas City we have a ceremony called the Plaza Lighting, it's a special time on Thanksgiving where they light up the plaza lights on all of the buildings. There's performances and it is on t.v. live that night.

My favorite thing about our city is the Plaza Lights! The plaza is a very big shopping center. Every year after Thanksgiving, we turn on all of the Christmas lights! It is beautiful and my favorite part of Christmas! I love to shop and walk around with the cool, crisp winter weather, and listening to Christmas music!

My favorite things about Kansas City are just all the exciting events that go on. Examples of these are "mixers" which are parties where people from different schools come together for a dance. Also, my friends and I go to the Plaza which is just an outdoor shopping center. Another example is "First Fridays" downtown.

@Nastya_Bulavina- There are a lot of really cool places here in Kansas City! There are places like Town Center which has a lot of fun shopping places and restaurants as well as movie theaters!

The thing i love most about Kansas City are the water fountains. Kansas City is known as the fountain city, so the water fountains are absolutely gorgeous downtown. Especially in the summertime, the sun reflects off the water, and just makes the fountains a sensational sight to see :)

we go trick-or-treating, which is going to different houses and saying "trick or treat" and they give you candy! usually everyone dresses up but it doesnt have to be a scary one.

We dress up in crazy costumes and go from door to door in our neighborhood asking for candy. Its really festive and fun to dress up and we get tons of candy on Halloween because some people are very generous in the candy they give, so we sometimes end up with king size candy bars.

We carve pumpkins and give candy to children. We also dress up and go door to door and get candy! (trick or treating) I got half a pillow case full of candy! It was a good Halloween :)

Halloween is literally a day made just for kids. We dress up however we want scary, funny, cute, whatever! Then go around your neighborhood door to door asking for candy! Its a ton of fun! This year I was a turkey with some friends and got a ton of candy! Hyper rush here I come :)

On Halloween you dress up as a character or an object. You can either go trick-or-treating with friends or just watch scary movies with your friends. This Halloween, my sister and I dressed up as cows and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

Halloween is so much fun! Basically you dress up in crazy costumes you'd probably never wear any other day of the year, and go door to door saying "Trick or Treat!" The best part is that you get free candy, and it's also fun to see all the crazy costumes people come up with :)

Around Halloween a big thing to do in Kansas City is to go to haunted houses. We have some of the scariest haunted houses in the United States. The biggest and most famous houses are The Beast, The Edge of Hell, Macabre Cinema, and Chambers of Edger Allen Poe.
